The first ever Chamber Christmas parade and the Main Street Old Fashioned Christmas festivities have been postponed untll next Saturday Dec 14th. The Breakfast with Santa at the community center and the meet and greet with Mr. & Mrs. Claus also at the Community center will still take place on December 7th.
We’ve got our first high school basketball double header broadcast of the winter sports season tonight on SAM1057. It’s a West Lakeland showdown as the Grantsburg Pirates will face the Siren Dragons with the action beginning at 5:45. Grantsburg’s boys come in with an 0-2 record after having gotten beaten by Luck on Tuesday. Siren’s boys will enter 1-0 after a pre-Thanksgiving win over Flambeau.
On the girls side, Grantsburg has their third head coach in as many years as John Dickensen takes the reigns. This will be the first game of the season for both girls squads. Join our Josh Miggler on the call tonight from Siren on SAM1057. It’s Pirates at Dragons!

Two people were taken to the hospital after a train derailment in Two Harbors early this afternoon. WDIO reports that more than a dozen Canadian National ore cars derailed, but the injured parties suffered only non-life threatening injuries. The train was carrying iron ore pellets.
