Brainerd, Minn. — Ernest Zelinka, C.L. Preserve LLC, North Pine Aggregate Inc., and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency have reached an agreement that requires the three parties to pay the MPCA $25,000 for alleged stormwater violations. The violations occurred at a 35-acre housing development construction site near Pine City, Minn.
Glen Henry Roeder passed away, Thursday, after he fell from his deer stand while hunting at his home. Isanti County Chief Deputy, Russ Monson, says Roeder got his leg stuck in the stand’s latter, and was unable to get out.

A 37-year-old father of five from Osceola is facing possession of child pornography charges. Jason Pape was charged late last week for owning three computer hard drives and a thumb drive that contained images of minors involved in sexual conduct.
Ball in the House is performing at the Pine City Auditorium, Saturday, in support of the Pine Center for the Arts. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Saint Paul - Governor Tim Pawlenty today signed Emergency Executive Order 08-17, directing the Minnesota National Guard to assist the Mille Lacs County Sheriff in a search and recovery operation on Lake Mille Lacs. On October 29, 2008, a person was reported missing and presumed drowned. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff has requested National Guard resources to continue its efforts to locate the missing person.
