Sen. Klobuchar Visits Business Leaders In Mora

Senator Amy Klobuchar stopped in Mora over the weekend to visit with business leaders. State Rep. Tim Faust was also on hand as was Mayor Greg Ardner, City Admin. Joel Dhein, County Board Chair Gene Anderson, Chief Deputy Brian Smith, representatives from Kanabec County Public Health, Family Pathways, Timber Trails Public Transit, a few local business owners and other citizens and members of the Chamber of Commerce.

The topics covered were varied. Klobuchar discussed industry in MN, exporting and importing goods, employment, unemployment, education, public transit, public safety, internet access, public assistance, and senior assistance. She answered every question posed as well as updated those in attendence on all of her recent works at the Capitol. Klobuchar also took notes on questions she didn’t have an answer for, and promised to follow up.

The event was hosted by Mark Cannon, owner of Freddies in Mora, and lasted about an hour.
