Missing Sportsman Found Safe In Kanabec County

On Saturday at about 1:15pm, the Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office and MN DNR Conservation Officiers responded to a report of ta missing 37-year old male party in Kroschel township. The Man had been last seen deer hunting in the early morning hours. Kanabec County Sheriff’s Deputies and the DNR Conservation Officers conducted both ground and aerial searches of the surrounding area.

The party was located safely, and was found to be in good health at approximately 5pm after several hours of searching.

The Kanabec County Sheriff reminds sportsmen of the importance of knowing their surroundings and utilizing navigational equipment when in unfamiliar areas.
