Cole Provides Update On Sandstone Shooting, Juvenile In Custody

A 23-year old man was killed near Sandstone on Thursday after allegedly attempting a home invasion. Pine County Sheriff Robin Cole provided an update on Friday morning.

The latest written statement from the Sheriff’s Office is as follows:

“Yesterday afternoon PCSO Deputies and investigators with the assistance of agents from the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension arrested a juvenile male aged 16 from Pine County in connection with the home invasion robbery of a Pine County residence on 11/14/2013 at 2:37 am. The juvenile suspect is believed to be the second suspect that fled the residence during the incident which left another armed suspect dead after being shot by the homeowner.

The identity of the juvenile is not being released. Several criminal charges including first degree Burglary are expected.”
