Pine County High Speed Chase Ends In Man’s Arrest

On June 24, 2013 at approximately 0052 hrs, the Pine County Sheriff’s Office received information that a party wanted for felony offenses in Wright and Pine Counties had just left a residence in Brook Park. The caller stated that a Brian Gene Baragar 2-12-1990 had just left in a vehicle reported stolen out of Wright County.
Pine County Deputies in the area spotted the vehicle and a high speed chase ensued. During this chase a passenger was pushed out of the vehicle and left on the side of the road with minor injuries. A second passenger exited the vehicle when it stopped momentarily.
The vehicle eventually came to a stopped after driving off the road and into a swamp.
The drive was arrested and identified as Baragar.
Baragar was booked into the Pine County Jail and charged by the Pine County Attorney’s Office with one county of Fleeing a police Officer, one count of Receiving Stolen Property and one count of Felony Assault.
Baragar is currently being held at the Pine County Jail. His bail was set at $75,000.00 with conditions of release or $125,000.00 without conditions of release.
