On Sunday, May 26 at 2pm WCMP AM 1350 will broadcast live from the Pine City Graduation Commencement Ceremony. The broadcast can also be streamed live right here on our website.
Our softball coverage continued in Minnesota this afternoon on 1350AM. Our first game of the afternoon featured the Rush City Tigers taking on the Isle Huskies. Isle was dominant, winning 20-6.
Because the Tigers lost, they had to face the Braham Bombers in an elimination game. Rush City won 5-2.

Our high school baseball postseason coverage begins this afternoon on SAM1057 as Siren/Webster will host Spooner at 1:30pm. Our Josh Miggler will be on the call.
After the legislative session wrapped up on Monday, Gov. Mark Dayton has been busy signing bills into law.

We told you earlier in the week about the Grantsburg Pirates exciting 8-4 victory over Frederic/Luck in the opening round of the girls softball playoffs. Grantsburg won on a walk-off, grand slam in the bottom of the 7th inning by Hope Tucker.
Today the Pirates will play for a Regional Championship and we’ll carry the action on SAM1057 starting at 5pm. Josh Miggler will call the game as Grantsburg is set to host Clayton/Turtle Lake. The Pirates are hoping to continue their march towards State. Grantsburg’s softball team has won two State Championships and has been to State five times, including last year, where they came up short. With a talent laden, veteran roster, hopes are high for the Pirates.
Tonight, we’ll carry a girls softball playoff doubleheader for you on 1350AM WCMP. In the first game, which starts at 3:30pm, we will finally see Ogilvie and Braham square off. These two teams were originally scheduled to meet on Monday night in the opening round of the Section 5 Class A playoffs but that game has been postponed three nights in a row.
The winner will advance and play top seed Rush City at 5:30.
