From time to time, Rep. Bill Hilty a Democrat from District 8A calls in to talk about the political happenings in St. Paul. Rep. Hilty had such a talk today with our Jesse Logan and commented on the days caucuses, the partisan atmosphere in St. Paul and what he thinks about some of the key issues to be discussed during the 2012 legislative session.
Today is a big day in Minnesota: caucus goers will head out to the designated sites to caucus for their candidates at various different levels of governement. 
Pine City High School students had a great run with their One-Act Play “slasreveR neveS” but were also able to give back to the community in the process.
The unseasonably warm weather and lack of snow has led to the cancellation of the 2012 40th anniversary Mora Vasaloppet races.
Sunny skies and high temperatures of 40 degrees in the forecast led the Vasaloppet USA board of directors to their decision. The warm temps will melt what snow remains on the Knife Lake back-up ski course. This week’s forecast also didn’t show any race-saving snowfall.
Boaters in Minnesota will now have to go through mandatory checkpoints when towing boats across the state.
