VAUGHANderful: Braham Sophomore Scores 47 in Win
Following Braham’s 80-72 win over Rush City on Thursday, Bomber’s guard Tyler Vaughan was told he scored 47. In disbelief, the sophomore’s eyes lit up and couldn’t believe it himself.
Vaughan scored 25 in the first half and hit clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the win which gives Braham the lead in the Great River Conference.
Tyler Vaughan and head coach Bob Vaughan talk about Tyler’s performance:
Braham took a six point lead into the half, but the Tigers roared back taking a three point lead with 11:22 to play. However, at that time, center Austin Otterness picked up a fourth foul and had to go to the bench, leaving a big hole in the interior. Braham took advantage, pushed the lead to as many as 11 and never looked back.
Otterness scored 21 and Justin Bosman chipped in 20 for Rush City.
The win is the Bombers’ tenth in a row. They are 18-3 overall and 13-1 in the conference. Rush City falls to 11-2 in the conference and 15-3 overall.
