Harvin Wins Rookie of the Year
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin is a big reason why the Vikings offense has soared this season. Tuesday, he was awarded the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The Vikings picked Harvin 22nd in last April’s NFL Draft, a move considered risky by some due to some off-field issues, but the gamble has paid off.
The former Florida Gator finished the regular season with six touchdowns and 60 catches for 790 yards. He also passes teammate Adrian Peterson’s team record for most total yards in a season by a rookie.
