The Minnesota Twins weren’t the only ones with a big comeback Tuesday night.¬† The Pine City Dragons¬† volleyball team upends last year’s co-conference champions Onamia in five sets.

The Dragons come back from 10 points down in the third set and eventually beat the Panthers 3-2.

Coach Anna Potvin said, “That is a huge accomplishment to come back like that. Onamia was just 8 points away from winning the set, but our girls pulled through.”

Emily Camp led Pine City with 19 kills and 12 blocks.

Potvin added, “We did not play our best volleyball tonight. We made a lot of unnecessary errors, and a few of the girls just struggled to get into their groove all night. That said, it is, of course, great to come away with a win.”

The Dragons are now 11-2 and gear up for a huge matchup Thursday at Rush City.

The Grantsburg Pirates also winners Tuesday. They take care of St. Croix Falls in straight sets.
