Dragons Tennis Finishes 2nd in Conference, Volleyball Scores

The Pine City Dragons girls’ tennis team finished second in the Two Rivers Conference tournament held Thursday at Pine City.  The Dragons finish just four points behind the winner Aitkin.  Head Coach Seth Sauter says he is pleased with how his team performed.

Sauter expects the Dragons to get one home match during the section tournament which starts next month.  He adds that whether home or away the team needs to continue to play their style and “give it the best we can.”

On the hardwood, the Dragons volleyball team shutout Isle 3-0 to improve to 9-2.

The Dragons are off until Tuesday when they host Aitkin.  The Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets volleyball team also winners. They down Becker 3-0.  Grantsburg continues to dominate Northwest Wisconsin.  The Pirates defeat Luck in straight sets.  Rush City beat Aitkin 3-0.
