Sports Weekend Recap
The high school sports schedule was filled this weekend. Friday, football was the focus with a plethora of great games locally.
Pine City 46 Duluth Marshall 7
Pine City Head Coach Jared Polzine got his first win as head coach in the Dragons blowout of the Hilltoppers on the road. It took Pine City awhile to get going, but once they did they could not be stopped. The Dragons score three touchdowns in the final three minutes of the first half, and never looked back.

Pine City will take on Rush City next week. Rush City played Moose Lake-Willow River tough, Friday, only to come up short 24-22. Both Pine City and Rush City are 1-1. Hear the game on Cool Country 100.9 WCMP-FM.

Pine City Volleyball Invitational
Pine City held a eight team volleyball tournament on Saturday. Zimmerman wins the tourney by beating Foley, 2-1. Pine City finished third. The Dragons down luck 2-0 in the third place match.
