Dragons Improve to 8-1 Beating Bombers
The 2009 baseball season is setting up to be a special one for the Pine City Dragons. The Dragons blast the Braham Bombers 12-0 on the road, Tuesday, on a game heard on 1350 WCMP-AM. The win improves Pine City to 8-1. Taylor Gonyea led the charge knocking two pitches over the fence. Gonyea also tamed the Bombers on the mound, getting the win in a complete game one-hitter. Tyler Spinler added a three run homer in the second. Up next for Pine city is a showdown with Rush City, Friday. Both teams are undefeated in the Great River Conference. The Tigers beat Aitkin 5-3, Tuesday.
