Bombers Fall in State Tournament

On Wednesday, The Braham Lady Bombers played in their first state tournament game since 1974, unfortunately they came up short against now 29-0 Caledonia. The Warriors beat the Bombers 75-54.  Caledonia’s full court press forced 29 Braham turnovers.

Hannah Dahlman led Braham with 14 points, Becca Dahlman chipped in 13.  Aly Meyer put up a double-double in the win with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The Braham Bombers boys teams will try to earn their way to the state tournament tonight when they take on Virginia in the section 7AA final.  The Bombers are coming off a thrilling overtime win against Mesabi East.  The Blue Devils ended Mora’s season with a win Tuesday.  Braham comes into the game 26-3 and have won seven in a row.  The Blue Devils have won four straight and are 27-2.  Hear the game on cool country 100.9 WCMP-FM starting at 7 p.m.

The Minnesota Gophers are in action tonight in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  Tubby Smith team is taking on Texas in the East Regional’s 7-10 matchup.  Tip off from Greensboro,  North Carolina tonight at 6:10 p.m.
