The two top teams in the Great River Conference last year met for the first time this year in Pine City, Tuesday, but it was anything but one of the epic duals from a year ago. In a game heard on 100.9 WCMP-FM, Braham gets the big road win over Pine City, 74-52, and led by as many as 31. With the win the Bombers improve to 8-0 and 4-0 in the conference. The Dragons fall to 2-6.

It was a much more competitive game during the Grantsburg-Webster boys match-up heard on Classic Hits 105.7 WXCX, but in the end the Tigers sneak by the Pirates 57-50. The win was revenge for Webster. Their girls fall in the opener of the doubleheader 66-32 to Grantsburg.
