The Minnesota Timberwolves are undefeated. The T-wolves drop the Oklahoma City Thunder 88-82, to improve to 2-0 this preseason. Guard, Rashad McCants finished with a team high 15 points in 22 minutes off the bench. Rookie Kevin Love chipped in ten points and five boards, while Al Jefferson came a rebound shy of a double double, with 13 points and nine reboards. The game was played in Billings, Montana. Minnesota now head to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Friday.
Icers everywhere can rejoice, the NHL season kicks off tonight. While the Wild will have to wait until Saturday to start their season, there are four games on tonights schedule. Defending champions Detroit will host another of hockey’s original six teams, the Toranto Maple Leafs. The team Minnesota plays Saturday, the Boston Bruins, take on the Colorado Avalanche in Denver.
The MLB Championship series starts tonight in Philadelphia. The Dodgers travel east to take on the Phillies in game one of the best of seven. The Red Sox and Rays start their series Friday.
