Friday, October 3rd, 2008 at 5:09 am

It’s another High School Football Friday on Red Rock Radio. Starting in Pine City where the Dragons look to cap off an exciting homecoming week with their fifth straight win. Pine City hosts the Aitkin Gobblers and will kick off the festivities with a pre-game BBQ. Hear pre-game coverage live beginning at 5:45 p.m. on 1350 WCMP-AM, followed by the kickoff at 7. The Grantsburg Pirates wrap up their Homecoming festivities against St. Croix Central. That game can be heard on 105.7 WXCX, and on cool country 100.9 WCMP-FM, Hinckley-Finlayson travels to Rush City to take on the Tigers at 7.

Also in action tonight, Braham goes to Crosby-Ironton, Cambridge-Isanti is on the Road against Becker, East Central hosts Ogilvie, and Mora tries to keep the momentum going from their thrilling win last week. They host St. Cloud Cathedral.

The magical run for C.C Sabathia and the Brewers is just a game away from ending. C.C was roughed up in a five run second inning, including a grand slam from Shane Victorino. Phillies get the 5-2 win and take a 2-0 series lead. A Pedro Feliz double started the Philadelphia scoring. The lone bright spot for the Brewers is that they head home Saturday and will try to use the Milwaukee crowd to rally off three straight wins.

Another team in an 0-2 hole is the Chicago Cubs. The national league’s best team in the regular season lost again to the Dodgers 10-3 Thursday. That series now shifts west to Los Angeles.

The team that knocked the Twins out of the playoffs, the Chicago White Sox, fall to the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-4 and trail that series 0-1.

The Vikings are without middle Linebacker EJ Henderson on Monday against the Saints. Henderson is still experiencing swelling in his dislocated toes.
