Rydberg Advances in Round Two, Now Plays Top Seed
Pine City native Jon Rydberg continues to impress at the Paralympic Games in Beijing. Ryberg has yet to lose a match in two rounds in men’s singles wheelchair tennis. Wednesday, he knocked off Slovakia’s Jozek Felix, 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets. Rydberg will now face the top seeded player in the competition, Shingo Kunieda from Japan. Rydberg hopes to advance to the gold medal match on Sunday.
