Friday, September 5th, 2008 at 5:37 am

High School football teams are back on the gridiron this evening. You can hear three gams on the Red Rock Radio family of networks. Pine City hosts Duluth Marshall in Pine City on 1350 WCMP-AM. East Central takes on Mesabi East at home on Cool Country 100.9 WCMP-FM, and on 105.7 WXCX, Cumberland travels to Grantsburg.

Also in action tonight:

Esko @ Braham

Two-Harbors @ Hinckley-Finlayson

New London Spicer @ Mora

Cambridge-Isanti @ Princeton

Moose Lake Willow River @ Rush City.

Oh Canada, OH NO. The Twins swept by the Blue Jays, including a 9-0 loss Thursday in Toronto. The loss is Minnesota’s ninth out of their last 12, and bumps them a game-and-a-half back of the White Sox in the division. Jays pitcher Jesse Litsch pitched a complete game shutout. Twins back in action tonight. They get the Tigers for three at home. Gametime tonight is at 7:10.

Brewers have now lost four in a row, they fall 5-2 to the Padres in the first game of four this weekend. The Crew holding on to their wild card spot over Philadelphia by four games, but making a run at the playoff spot are the Astros who have won eight in a row. No fear though for the Milwaukee faithful C.C Sabathia is on the hill tonight.
