The Minnesota Vikings lose one of their key off season acquisitions. Safety Madieu Williams is suffering from a nerve problem in his neck and is expected to miss up to six weeks. Williams came to Minnesota from Cincinnati. He signed a six year deal worth $33 million.

The Milwaukee brewers are the hottest team in baseball and pick up their seventh straight Tuesday, downing the Padres 5-2. Milwaukee has now won three in a row on the road. Jeff Suppan gets the win, and gets help from Mike Cameron and Prince Fielder, who both hit home runs in the win. Brew Crew goes for eight straight tonight in San Diego, in game two of the three game set.
