Pre Game Info: Our high school sports coverage resumes tonight in Siren for a highly anticipated matchup. The Dragons and Luck Cardinals played two thrilling one-point games in the regular season, both won by Siren, which is how they earned Tuesday night’s bye. The Cardinals qualified for this game with an opening round win over Northwood. This is the fourth year in a row these teams have met three times, with that third meeting in the playoffs. Luck has eliminated Siren each of the past two years. Jesse Logan will call the Regional Semifinal tonight in Division 5 when Luck travels to Siren! The game will tip at 7pm.

Girls PLAYOFFS: Braham Defeats Maple Lake 62-47 (Replay)

Thursday, March 6th, 2014

Pre Game Info: The featured game on Cool Country 100.9 at 7pm tonight is the 22-4 Braham Bombers hosting the 5-18 Maple Lake Irish. Braham’s boys beat Maple Lake in opening round Section 5 Class AA last week, and now the Bombers girls will look to start their postseason off with a similar win. Braham has made State an amazing five years in a row, but will have a tougher road ahead of them now in a new Section. Braham senior Kayla Nickles has had a great year leading the squad, and hit a team-record nine three pointers in their regular season finale on Monday night. Join our Jesse Logan at 7pm for the Irish and the Bombers on WCMP FM 100.9.

Luck will take on Drummond at a neutral site in Hayward. Luck won the Regional Final on Saturday night when they beat Siren 41-33. Tonight’s game is a rematch of a tight sectional semifinal game between the two a year ago. Last year, in this same round, Drummond beat Luck 31-28 to end the Cardinals season. Drummond went on to beat Clayton, but lost at State. Join us on SAM1057 for Drummond vs Luck at 7pm!
