The Onamia Panthers Girls team was one of the few teams in the state that began it’s March Madness on the last night of February. Onamia was the #9 seed in the Section 5, Class A and were facing the #8 seeded Northland Eagles.

Onamia was victorious 44-41, meaning two of their six wins on the season have come against the Eagles.

Onamia will now have the unenviable taskt of squaring off with the Lady Bombers of Barnum; the Class A defending champions are currently ranked #2 in the state.

That game will take place on Thursday night in Barnum, with a 7pm tip-off.
