Loading ...Dragons Football Preparing for 2010 Season
The Pine City Dragons are preparing hard for the 2010 football season. Head Coach Jared Polzine says his players, who have just started their second week of practice, have set their sights on a section championship. That would be a first for Pine City’s football program in the history of the school.
Coach Polzine is putting a lot of faith in senior QB Nate Wendorf and senior RB Adam Olson, both returning starters. At practice Wendorf appeared polished in his release, and exhibits a smooth delivery with nice touch. Olson has an impressive mix of power and speed, and fellow teammates had a hard time bringing him down during drills.
The Dragons will begin the year with three straight home games, including the season opener against Proctor on Friday, Sept. 3.
