Ex-Viking Kluwe Returns To Spotlight, Intends To Sue Team
Former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe has announced he intends to sue his former team after a previous internal investigation failed him.
The outspoken former punter says the Vikings won’t release details of the interval investigation the team conducted after Kluwe wrote a Deadspin article in January, alleging special coordinator Mike Priefer used homophobic slurs during the 2012 season.
Clayton Halunen, Kluwe’s attorney, says the Vikings aren’t necessarily hiding details, but are waiting for a cue on when to release them.
A lawyer hired by the Vikings noted that results of an internal investigation would be released within 10 days of completion. Kluwe and his attorney are out to prove that it’s been completed since the middle of June.
The Vikings say the internal investigation “thoroughly and comprehensively” investigated Kluwe’s accusation against Priefer, according to BringMeTheNews.
