Despite the many inefficiencies found in Minnesota’s health insurance exchange, MNsure, the program has officially released new numbers on membership totals.

According to a press release, MNsure says 251,592 Minnesotans have enrolled through MNsure. 147,310 are enrolled in Medical Assistance, 52,049 in MinnesotaCare and 52,233 in a qualified health plan.

MNSure CEO Scott Leitz said, “We are very pleased to see MNsure enrollment continuing to grow.”

The Deloitte Consulting agency was hired last month by MNSure to analyze and help fix the scrutinized rollout of the exchange’s website.

Last month, Deloitte claimed that nearly “two-thirds of MNsure’s operating systems” were “absent or not functioning as expected.”

According to the Star Tribune, The Deloitte Consulting assessment warned the issues could mean trouble for people who try to sign up for coverage during the upcoming fall enrollment period.
