Troopers said the passenger of the first vehicle, 4-year-old Cameron Moroney of Hugo, and a pedestrian, 32-year-old Adam Roen of Eveleth, were seriously injured. The driver of the second vehicle, 57-year-old Lawrence Sommer of Cottage Grove, was also seriously injured.

The driver of the first vehicle, 55-year-old Kathleen Haapala of White Bear Lake, was uninjured.

All patients were brought to hospitals in Cloquet and Duluth, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
