Obama To Host University Of Minnesota Women’s Hockey Team At White House

President Barack Obama will have company from Minnesota at the White House Monday. The University of Minnesota Gophers women’s hockey team will play guests to a formal ceremony on the south lawn starting at 3pm.

The ceremony will recognize the national champions of both men’s and women’s Hockey in Division 1.

The Gopher women reportedly left for Washington D.C. on a sunday evening flight from MSP International.

From 2011 to 2013 the Gopher women’s hockey team held an NCAA record 62-game winning streak, and held a perfect 41-0 record in 2013. The Gophers have been national champions for the past 2 years.
