Safe And Supportive School Act Supporters Rally At State Capitol
Supporters of the Safe and Supportive Schools Act were rallying at the State Capitol Monday afternoon.
They are hoping lawmakers will hear their calls and do something that will change the bullying laws in the state.
Earlier in the day about 400 high school students met at Metropolitan State University, along with Upfront Minnesota and the Safe Schools for All Coalition. The objective was to raise support for the Safe and Supportive Minnesota Schools Act.
The group hopes that the bill will clarify what bullying looks like in schools, while also clarifying what the punishment of bullying would look like.
