MNSure Adds Staff Members To It’s Caller Workforce

Wednesday, February 12th, 2014 at 4:05 pm

Leaders of Minnesota’s health insurance marketplace, MNSure, announced they’ll be adding employees to it’s lagging workforce of call-takers on Wednesday.

According to KSTP, 50 new staff members are manning the phones at this very moment. An additional 50 employees will be added by February 19th.

The move is no surprise as the March 31st registration deadline looms closer.

So far, 92,000 Minnesotans have used MNsure to enroll for health insurance, and Interim CEO Scott Leitz says phone wait times have been cut down from 5-15 minutes. Registers experienced wait times of up to an hour back in November.

In a Wednesday meeting before House and Senate members, Ceo Leitz said 17 percent of users had seen error messages on the MNSure website nearly six weeks ago. Now, it may be anywhere from 4 to 5 percent..

MNSure’s open enrollment returns in March.
