Wolves Back Below .500 After Loss At OKC
The Timberwolves had another tough game last night and lost at Oklahoma City without Kevin Love in uniform. Just a night after losing to the Lakers, Minnesota was beaten by the Thunder 106-97 to fall back below .500 at 24-25.
The Wolves were down by just two at halftime despite also being without center Nikola Pekovic (ankle injury) and forward Corey Brewer (family leave).
Minnesota coach Rick Adelman said he was proud of the way his undermanned team fought.
Kevin Durant continues to play at an MVP level; he finished with 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. The Wolves were led by Ricky Rubio with 19 points while Dante Cunningham chipped in 18 and JJ Barea had 11 of of the bench.
