Nearly Three Feet Of Snow Hits Ashland, WI Over Three Day Period
Thanks to a stretch of weather and it’s supporting geographic location, the town of Ashland, Wisconsin had received nearly three feet of heavy snowfall since Sunday afternoon.
According to WDIO, residents had to wait three days before starting to clear driveways and paths. The plowed snow created a phenomenon of snowbanks that allegedly reached up to seven-feet in height
An Ashland man staid he had to buy a new snowblower due to his old model not being able to keep up with the heavy amounts. Kevin Alajoki states in a WDIO interview “My kids don’t even want to come outside and play right now because they actually fell off the step yesterday and sunk up with their shoulders.”
The Duluth TV station also adds that hauled-away snow from area businesses created parking lot snow piles that reached nearly two stories tall.
