Horses from the Pine County Animal Abuse case are looking for loving homes!

Press Release:

“On September 12th and October 10th, a total of 26 horses and 36 dogs were removed from the property of Kathy Doenz of Pine city. Over 100 ducks and chickens were also seized. The animals were found sick and starving to death. Two horses had to immediately be euthanized as a result of their condition. One dog was found suspended by his foot from a fence; it is unknown as to how long he was hanging.

The dogs will find foster homes, but the horses have not been so lucky. There are still ten horses who desperately need placements or they will be going to auction. Most likely this will be the end of their time here on Earth.

North Ridge Veterinary Service in Sturgeon Lake is in charge of the horses. They have been well fed and cared for since their removal and are showing signs of improvement. Some have had medical issues resolved. If you can help, please email North Ridge at .”
