A man was arrested after a high speed chase through Chippewa County Thursday afternoon.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department tells WEAU that 24-year old Adam Will was booked into the jail for OWI, fleeing an officer, and reckless driving.

Apparently deputies tried to pull over Will for speeding near the Lafayette Town Hall around 2 p.m. but he sped off, leading to a chase that reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

Deputies say Will eventually ended up in a ditch. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw and then sent to the jail.
