Court documents say jailed former Waupun police officer Bradley Young was considering suicide before he was arrested at a Burnett county cabin. Young has been accused of going on a burglary spree and faces charges in Burnett, Green Lake and Barron.

Police captured him at a cabin outside Spooner on Aug. 6.

The Burnett County criminal complaint against Young says that after he eluded police in Barron County, he went to a family member’s cabin in Burnett County. The complaint says he planned to kill himself there but he couldn’t find a gun at the cabin. He found a rifle in another unoccupied cabin but decided to surrender after he got a call from his mother and spoke to his children.
