Vikes Lose To San Fran 34-14, Ponder Makes Mistakes But Tosses Two TD’s
The Minnesota Vikings offense finally had some positive results in the team’s third preseason game on Sunday night, although it was far from great performance. Quarterback Christian Ponder did toss a pair of touchdown passes and Minnesota got beat by the 49ers 34-14 in a nationally televised game.
Adrian Peterson only played two plays and never touched the ball.
Ponder’s touchdowns went to Zach Line and Joe Webb, and were short scoring plays covering just one yard and three yards respectively. Ponder dinked and dunked his way to a stat line of 17 completions on 23 attempts for 116 yards, with the two scores, and one interception. Ponder also lost a fumble in the first quarter that set up a field goal for the 49ers.
The Vikings will wrap up their preseason on Thursday night against the Titans in a game we’ll carry on 100.9 Cool Country.
