WEAU is reporting that a man has now been charged with causing a fatal crash in Northwest Wisconsin earlier this year, after blood tests revealed traces of marijuana in his system.

Twenty-four-year old Zebediah Tri has been charged with homicide by vehicle during use of a controlled substance, and homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle for the accident, which happened back in March.

According to a criminal complaint, 50-year old Brenda Bemis was killed when the car she was riding in was rear-ended on U.S. Highway 63 just south of Clear Lake, WI.

A criminal complaint says that Tri was driving the car that was following Bemis, and a blood test after the crash found he had THC in his system.
