Wolves New Swingman Muhammad Has Breakout Summer League Performance
Timberwolves fans that follow the team closely saw a positive development on Wednesday. New Wolves swingman Shabazz Muhammad had a good outing in his fourth summer league game as a pro.
The rookie had previously struggled in three games in the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League, but on Wednesday Muhammad had a game-high 17 points in the Wolves’ 92-54 trouncing of the Sacramento Kings in the opening round of the Summer League’s new double elimination tournament format.
Muhammad was taken 14th overall by Minnesota in last month’s draft. The swingman converted on six of his 10 shots, sinking three of four attempts from 3-point range, and also had a highlight reel dunk.
