Gibson Has Solid Start, Takes Another Loss

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 at 7:04 am

Another night and another loss for the Twins; Tamba Bay beat Minnesota last night 4-1. Kyle Gibson got another start for the Twins and had a mostly solid outing, except for a bit of a collapse in the fourth inning when he allowed four runs.

Gibson struck out three and walked four in six innings of work. The loss means Gibson is now 1-2.

The Twins offense was the real problem on this night as they just couldn’t get guys on base. Two of Minnesota’s five hits were by Joe Mauer.

The Twins will try again tonight against the Rays at 6:10 on 100.9 Cool Country. Kevin Correia will take on Jeremy Hellickson. Minnesota is now 13 games below .500
