Young Man Hit In Hinckley Now Dies
A Minnesota State Patrol update on an accident from last week near Hinckley is now calling it fatality, and lists the 24-year old victim as deceased.
The State Patrol announced on Sunday that 24-year-old Trevor Langlois of Wyoming, who was hit around 10:50 p.m. Monday, has passed away. Langlois had apparently had truck problems and had pulled to the side of the road near the southbound entrance ramp when he was hit.
WDIO reports that Langlois was an Army veteran and working on expanding a business. He had just graduated from a 2-year college in business and he wanted to start his own business. Apparently, Langlois had just bought the truck from a private seller near Hinckley to help expand his tree removal business. He added it was that truck that was having trouble when Trevor pulled to the side of I-35, put on his flashers, and got out.
Authorities said the vehicle that hit Langlois stopped, then fled the scene southbound on the interstate following the collision.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2010 or newer Ford F-150 XLT four-door pick-up, but the color is still unknown. The State Patrol said it may have damage to the front right area and right side mirror.
Anyone with information is asked to call the State Patrol at 218-302-6105.
