U.S. Senator Franken Discusses Fund To Encourage Training At 2-Year Technical Colleges (Audio)
U.S Sen. Al Franken has been working with businesses and education leaders throughout Minnesota to understand their needs and to come up with legislation that would help them close the skills gap. He’s now going to be introducing a bill to support workforce development and training.
The Community College to Career Fund will help create partnerships between two-year colleges and businesses to train two million Americans for jobs in high-demand industries, such as health care, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and information technology.
Franken discussed that topic, and others, with our Jesse Logan.
