Pine County Sheriff’s Office Reports Hit & Run

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for a vehicle they believe was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Monday, June 17.

In a press release we learned that at 10:50pm, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on I35 near mile marker 185 in Hinckley. The victim has been identified as 25-year old Trevor Langlois of Wyoming, MN. The victim was assisting another motorist who had vehicle trouble. Both the victim and the stranded motorist were pulled off of the highway near the southbound entrance ramp when the victim was struck by a passing vehicle.

The striking vehicle stopped and then fled the scene southbound on I35.

Pine County Deputies and the MN State Patrol arrived on the scene and the victim was airlifted to Essentia Hospital Duluth and is currently in critical condition.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark in color Ford late model sedan that should have new moderate to heavy damage to the right front bumper, hood and quarter panel area of the vehicle and possibly white paint transfer in that area of the vehicle as well. The passenger side mirror should be partially missing. The driver of the suspect vehicle is unknown at this time.
