Twins Swept In Doubleheader
The Twins played a doubleheader on Sunday and lost twice to the Nationals 7-0 and 5-4.
In the first game, it was a rough outing for Scott Diamond. The losing pitcher lasted just four and two thirds innings, gave up all seven runs, with six of them earned, and struck out just three batters. The Nats scored two runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth to blow the game wide open. Washington out-hit the twins 14-3.
In the second game, Minnesota played better but still lost 5-4. Things were looking good in the fourth when Pedro Florimon went yard to make it 4-1 Minntesota. Sadly, it would come undone from there as the Nats scored the final four runs of the game to win 5-4. Minnesota fell to 27-32 in the loss.
