TWINS Snap 10-Game Losing Streak
The Minnesota Twins snapped their 10 game losing streak on Saturday with a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers.
The losing streak was the club’s longest streak since dropping 11 in a row from Sept. 9-21, 2011.
P.J. Walters, who made his season debut, turned in a quality start and was backed by a three-hit effort from Joe Mauer. The Twins scored three runs in the first, including a solo homer from Mauer. After that they were able to hang on for their first victory since May 13.
The Twins will take on the Tigers today at 12:08PM on Cool Country 100.9FM.
