Gov. Walker Meets With Dalai Lama
Earlier today, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker met with the Dalai Lama. Walker told the Associated Press he spent most of the time during his meeting with the Tibetan leader just listening.
Walker met with the Dalai Lama on Tuesday morning, before the spiritual leader was scheduled to give a speech before the Wisconsin Legislature.
Walker said “there wasn’t a whole lot of dialogue” during his meeting at the Alliant Center in Madison, a couple miles away from the Capitol. Walker said the meeting was “more or less a greeting.”
Walker said the Dalai Lama gave him a couple of his books and talked about his travels and how happy he was to be back in Wisconsin. His visit this week is his ninth to Madison.
