Anti-Tax Rally Draws Hundreds At Capitol

Political figures and concerned Minnesotans alike could be found Saturday at the annual Taxpayer Freedom Rally in St.Paul.

This year’s event drew more frustration from participants due to DFL legislation, according to the Star Tribune. Public figures were present such as anti-tax figure Grover Norquist, Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and conservative radio talk show host Jason Lewis.

Senate Minority Leader David Hann stated “Hardworking taxpayers cannot afford Mark Dayton and the DFL majorities in the Legislature. They’re going to be serving up the biggest taxaplooza in the state, and we’re going to pay for it.”

Grover Norquist also added Democrats will not stop at higher taxes for the rich. It’s also worth nothing that talk-radio host Jason Lewis is considering a run for U.S. Senate against Democrat Al Franken.
