ECE Announces Cancellation Of GreenTouch

Thursday, April 25th, 2013 at 9:55 am

East Central Energy’s (ECE) Project GreenTouch at Pattison State Park in Superior, WI has been cancelled due to lingering winter conditions in the park. The GreenTouch event at Father Hennepin State Park in Isle, MN will be held as planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

Project GreenTouch brings people of all ages together to help popular state parks prepare for the busy season ahead. The event blends fun and fellowship with much-needed projects such as clearing brush and debris, raking, shoveling, painting and planting trees.

Morning coffee and lunch are served, courtesy of ECE. The event will be held rain or shine. All tools and materials will be provided by the park staff.

ECE sponsors GreenTouch as part of its commitment to community and its dedication to enhancing the quality of life in the territory served by the cooperative. It’s a tradition that was started 14 years ago by Touchstone Energy® cooperatives throughout Minnesota as a way to lend a helping hand and highlight what co-ops stand for.

Those who plan to attend are asked to sign up by calling ECE employee Tina Lanhart, 1-800-254-7944, ext. 2065.
