The NBA regular season came to an end on Wednesday night and although the Minnesota Timberwolves weren’t in the race for a playoff spot, they did snap a 16 game losing streak against the Spurs. The Wolves beat San Antonio 108-95 to finish with a 31-51 record.

Minnesota had six players in double digits, led by Derrick Williams who finished with a game high 21 points. Ricky Rubio continued to show improved touch from outside hitting three three pointers en route to a 12 point night. Chase Budinger also finished with 15 points off of the bench.

The Spurs had already clinched the Western Conference’s second seed, but played all of their key players including Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. Also in the West, the Lakers defeated the Rockets to end up with the #7 seed, so LA will play San Antonio in the opening round although the Lakers will be without Kobe Bryant.
