Winless Weekend For The Twins Ends With Postponed Game

Monday, April 15th, 2013 at 6:50 am

It was a disappointing weekend for Twins fans, that’s for sure.

The team got blasted by the Mets in the opening game of a three game series on Friday night, losing at Target Field 16-5. Then, on Saturday afternoon the Twins lost 4-2 to the Mets as Pitcher Scott Diamond made his first start of the year and lasted just 4 1/3 innings while allowing four earned runs on eight hits. On Sunday, the third game of the series got cancelled due to bad weather.

The Twins have now dropped five straight and have fallen to 4-7 on the season. The Angels are in town on Monday night to open a three game series, and if the game is played, you’ll hear it on 100.9 Cool Country with the first pitch at 7:10.

Mike Pelfrey will go against Joe Blanton.
