Wild Shut Out In Loss To Blackhawks
Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa provided the only goal of the night last night at the X and Chicago beat the Minnesota Wild 1-0 in a low scoring affair.
The win was the fourth in a row for the NHL leading Blackhawks. Hossa’s unassisted goal late in the second period was all goalie Ray Emery needed. Emery started for the Blackhawks for the third straight game and made 20 saves for his second shutout in that stretch and third of the season. He helped hand the Wild their fifth loss in seven games.
Of course the Wild were without Dany Heatley, who was scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday. Heatley is expected to be back before the playoffs. The Wild will play the blues tomorrow night at Xcel Energy Center.
