Timberwolves Announce Love’s Season Is Over
The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Monday night that forward Kevin Love’s season is over. Love has been sidelined twice this season for a broken hand, but his season officially comes to an end due to a knee injury. The team reports that Love will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee to remove a buildup of scar tissue. The procedure is scheduled for later this week.
On the Court, Love’s frontcourt teammate Nicola Pekovic continues to dominate. On Monday, Pekovic was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played April 1-7. The honor is the first of Pekovic’s career and the Wolves’ first since Al Jefferson was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 5, 2009.
The Wolves will take on the Warriors tonight.
